Vasu Research Center has concentrated on the following research areas:

*	Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Research – Here we are trying to rediscover the true benefits of Ayurveda through combination of uncompromised Ayurvedic principles and latest modern analytical instruments.

*	Analytical Research - studying and testing active chemicals of natural source.

*	Clinical Research - Studying and confirming total safety and efficacy of novel or established Ayurvedic formulations on human volunteers.

Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Research

Herbal medicines are the oldest remedies known to mankind. Herbs had been used by all cultures throughout history however India has one of the oldest, richest and most diverse cultural living traditions associated with the use of medicinal plants. As per WHO’s report at present, Traditional medicines are used by about 80% of world’s population. Ayurvedic medicines are in great demand in the developed as well as developing countries for primary healthcare because of their wide biological activities, higher safety margins and lesser costs. Standardization is an essential factor for polyherbal formulation in order to assess the quality of the drugs based on the concentration of their active principles. At Vasu Research Centre, Our scientists are striving hard to establish standardization criteria for the polyherbal formulation. This huge task includes standardization of Raw material, Manufacturing process, Finished product analysis, Packaging etc.

Phytochemical Research

Chemicals that are naturally occurring in plants are called Phytochemicals. Some of them may provide health benefits beyond those provided by essential nutrients. Each and every medicinal plant contains biologically active ingredients with profound pharmacological activity that can be utilized as safe and effective medicines. Apart from the aim of discovering new biological actives, we are also in efforts of identifying and isolating the biologically active marker constituents for the standardization of poly herbal formulation. Different chromatographic techniques (like Flash, Column, Gas etc) and Spectroscopic techniques (like UV, IR, Mass etc) are utilized for isolation of active constituents.

Analytical Research

To achieve the highest degree of quality with uninterrupted consistency, it has now become quite essential to perform the stringent systemic analysis of every stages of formulation. Quality analysis is done with the help of different analytical techniques like…

VASU Research Centre, inaugurated on February 26th, 2008, is the backbone of Vasu Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.. Its a DSIR recognized centre and supports as an in-house research division, spearheading the R&D activity of the company which focuses on innovative research areas like Herbal and Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical, Phytochemical, Cosmoceutical, Analytical, Clinical, Nutraceutical Research and Development.

Clinical Research

Clinical Research is a systematic study for new drugs on human subjects to generate data for discovering or verifying the Clinical, Pharmacological or adverse effects with the objective of determining safety and efficacy.

The unfocused side of herbal medicines is insufficient scientific evidence except traditional literature. Clinical research provides us a systemic study regarding medicinal effects of herbal formulations on human body. It also provides valuable data regarding safety and efficacy in the same manner.

We are very happy to inform that “VRC” have been singled out for a unique honor! VRC have been conferred National Award For Research & Development, Yr 2008 in MSME category

Our Chief Operating Officer Shri Hardik J Ukani, received this coveted awards from the hands of Shri Dinsha Patel, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent charge) MSME, Govt of India at a glittering function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 28.08.09. The awards consist of a Certificate,Trophy and Cash Prize.

The National Award for Research & Development Is given in recognition of outstanding R & D achievement to Shri Hardik J Ukani.
