VASU Research Centre was established on 26th February 2008. Within a very short span it has now become the backbone of Vasu Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Its facilities have been recognized by DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Gov. of India). At present, it is functioning as an R&D division of the company which focuses on various research areas viz. Herbal and Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical, Phytochemical, Cosmeceutical, Analytical, Clinical, Nutraceutical Research and development. Its major strength lies in its highly skilled & experienced professionals, who are proficient in taking various initiatives in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Research through modern scientific tools without diluting the principles of Ayurveda. VRC is well equipped with the most modern research facilities and is having proficiency in new formulation development.
Vasu Research Center (VRC) also serves as company’s knowledge base backup. Vasu Healthcare deals mainly with patented Ayurvedic products. VRC conducts rigorous trials of new products before execution of industrial production. It is also involved in standardizing manufacturing processes. It is well nurtured by the management’s co-operation by fulfilling all the requirements at every stage of the developmental program.
Infrastructure
VRC is spread across 5616 sq ft area of Vasu Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and facilitated with fully sophisticated instruments and computerized data management system.
VRC is well equipped with various laboratories like R&D lab, Microbiology lab, Pharmacognosy lab, Chemical lab and Analytical lab.
It has also been equipped with library that has quite a large collection of books related to valuable Ayurvedic classics, Modern pharmaceutics, reference books viz. API, IP, BP, USP, etc., Scientific Journals and Periodicals.
The Research and development laboratory possesses state-of-the-art modern pharmaceutical instruments that facilitates latest trend of basic research and new formulation development.
The Microbiology lab is fully outfitted with the latest instruments that facilitate various studies like bioassay, bio-burden etc.
The Pharmacognosy laboratory is facilitated with the instruments viz. microtome, microscopes etc. The main operation of this lab is to identify and to authenticate the raw plant materials that are used in Ayurvedic formulations.
The Chemical laboratory is highly functional in general, Phytochemical and Neutraceutical analysis.
The Instrumentation Laboratory possesses the most sophisticated instrumental outfit viz. HPLC, GC, AAS, etc for the advanced Phytochemical and heavy metal research and analysis.
